Resorting to mesmerizing circular rhythms and hallucinatory electronic flickers, this duo (enhanced to a trio in a live setting) deploys a psychedelic mutating flow that, rooting itself in a rich Jamaican legacy, feels at home in a very British lineage of reverence towards reggae and dub. A noble legacy that has spiritual ancestors in post-punk luminaires like 23 Skidoo and This Heat or Adrian Sherwood’s explorations with African Head Charge and On-U Sound.
