One day after her concert at OUT.FEST 2025, Galician composer and researcher Carme López will present her work on Galician traditional music, tradition, and the avant-garde. This talk aims to provide an overview of the fundamental characteristics of Galician musical tradition, highlighting its capacity to adapt to different contexts - particularly the current social environment - while reflecting on its recognition as both a traditional and/or avant-garde entity.
