Poly Vuduvum

Two person coven comprised of Diana Policarpo - aka Poly Garbo in the past - and Vuduvum Vadavã who is Marta, half of Von Calhau! Two artists with a multidisciplinary and transversal body of work, in different planes, find in Poly Vuduvum an ethereal common ground summoned from chant, wordplay, improvisation, electronics and metallic percussion. The first has been working steadily, since she returned to Lisbon after a long stay in London. in a multiple narrative that questions relationships of power and gender politics in the fields of installation, electroacoustics, field recordings and percussion. Marta is a visual artist, vocalist, oddball dj, performer and overall language-centric obsessive at its most primitive and essential. A meeting of minds, capable of convening unfathomable matter out of sound, noise and possible shapes of silence.
