Recipient of the 2026 OUT.RA Grant, sound and visual artist Alëna Koleso presents at OUT.FEST a public soundwalk that steps away from the stages to treat the city itself as the festival's sonic protagonist. Combining listening exercises, chance encounters and sonic interventions, ‘Backstage’ unfolds as a temporary composition distributed along the route, while marking the first public presentation of the artist's new series of sound works, unveiled throughout the walk itself.
The sound walk will take place at Quinta do Braamcamp, in central Barreiro, with two sessions: Saturday, October 3, and Sunday, October 4, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Due to the limited number of places, each person may take part in only one of the two sessions and should indicate which session they would like to attend. Participation is free, with advance registration required via workshops@outra.pt, by September 24.
The route is low difficulty. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and footwear suitable for the weather conditions, as well as bringing water, a hat, and sun protection. The walk is open to participants aged 14 and over.
Further information and practical details will be shared once registration has been confirmed.
