OUT.FEST 2025 - full programme

Here it is! We're beyond excited to announce the final additions and full programme for OUT.FEST’s 21st edition!

David Maranha & Rodrigo Amado are two legendary names in Portugal's creative scene who, incredibly, released their first collaborative effort only last year with the devastating ‘Wrecks’, an album which has justly garnered widespread recognition; MASMA DREAM WORLD is a Gabonese-American artist channeling devotional and mystical musical traditions from all over the globe; Devon Rexi are a Netherlands-based collective who pick up the thread of DIY punk and post-punk into a stripped-back, groove-driven dub minimalism; Moin are a “post-whatever” supergroup of sorts, all texture, all rhythm, all resonance. Last but not least, Norwegian composer Erik Dæhlin teams up with the Orquestra de Câmara Portuguesa – led by percussionist extraordinaire Pedro Carneiro – as well as the Banda Municipal do Barreiro and Coral TAB to deliver perhaps the most ambitious project in the festival’s history: a new piece inspired by and presented at the heart of the city’s industrial core.

This year’s edition also features an expanded discourse programme, our largest to date, with talks and presentations by several of the performing artists, including Carme López, Erik Dæhlin, and Matilde Meireles, as well as musicians and researchers such as Raquel Castro and João Polido. Raquel Castro and João Polido. The discourse programme is developed within the framework of the tekhnē project, which also sponsors a micro-residency with six young artists based in Europe throughout the festival. Both the talks and residency closely explore threads related to tradition, collective memory and soundscapes as musical technologies.

The last All-Access Passes granting entry to all concerts are available at https://outra.bol.pt/ and regular outlets. Day tickets are now also on sale.
