OUT.FEST 2025: second wave of artists announced

Second wave of confirmations for the 21st OUT.FEST, featuring several musicians returning to Barreiro in new contexts: billy woods, one of the great visionaries of hip-hop in the last two decades, returns to the city after we hosted him in 2024 as one half of Armand Hammer; Wolf Eyes & DJ Nigga Fox debut a surprising collaboration, presented in partnership with Galeria Zé dos Bois; Yaw Tembe & Joana Guerra present the fruits of their collaboration, materialized in the recent and beautiful “Orogénese”. Setúbal-based funcionário performs solo for the first time at OUT.FEST, with the brand new album “horizonte” about to be released.

In a Portuguese debut, OUT.FEST also presents the intense music of Kenyan Lord Spikeheart, as well as the rhythmic meditations for traditional Japanese wind instruments by Rai Tateishi, with real-time sound processing by fellow countryman Koshiro Hino, of goat(jp), who also performed in Barreiro in 2024 as part of the duo KAKUHAN.

Also making their festival debut are the Porto-based duo Amuleto Apotropaico, the French cellist based in New York Leila Bordreuil, the Argentine producer and DJ TAYHANA, and the Ukrainian project based in Portugal ϙue, who will present their latest album “TIME” for the first time, in a quadraphonic setup with visuals by equii.

These artists join Beatrice Dillon, rashad becker, Tashi Dorji, Divide and Dissolve, and many others already revealed in May.
