tekhnē micro-residency: artist presentations

“Everyday Sounds & Collective Memory as Technologies”
As part of the tekhnē European collaborative project, OUT.FEST is hosting a micro-residency with 6 emerging artists representing each of the project partners’ countries: Billy Moisseron (Q-O2, Brussels); Radoslaw Hada-Jasikowski (Trafo, Szczecin); Daina Šteinerte (Skaņu mežs, Riga); Paola Avilés  (GMEA, Albi); Nischal Khadka (CTM, Berlin) and Henrique Varanda (Tundra collective, from Almada, invited by OUT.FEST). 

Residents will explore the city’s former industrial area and contribute to Cidade Som (the Barreiro Sound Archive). Each participant will be challenged to produce a 5min audio piece / audio diary highlighting one or several aspects of their stay, and present it to the public on the last day of the festival.
