Conjured by Mariana Dionísio in 2023, LEIDA presents itself as an ensemble for eight voices that seeks to question the canonical practices of choral groups, proposing a non-dogmatic yet conscious approach to their characteristics. Embracing improvisation and adapting to the acoustic space where it is performed, LEIDA's music unfolds in its own time within that space, absorbing and reclaiming its properties in a manner as open as it is precise, through the voices of Dionísio herself, Beatriz Nunes, Filipa Franco, Leonor Arnaut, Nazaré da Silva, Diogo Ferreira, Hugo Henriques, and João Neves.
