First show ever of this new local band (pronounced: “Treze”, Portuguese for thirteen) which brings together the blue-collar, sludgy, no-wavy noise rock of Estranhas Entranhas and the metal-inspired electronic drones of Pedro Roque aka CAVERNANCIA. Estranhas Entranhas are a longstanding trio in the city’s music scene, sounding proudly ‘barreirenses’ in form and feeling, with blood-stained, street-felt lyrics hovering above, through and below a haze of guitar feedback, distortion, broken tunes and martial drum beats; this distortion lends its hand seamlessly to the tempestuous music made by CAVERNANCIA, a rapidly up-and-coming master of electrical, overdriven hypnosis who sounds more immersive, affirmative and rapturous with each release.
