Prison Religion

Duo from Richmond, Virginia comprised of Poozy and False Prpht, two instigators with a solo life of their own, joining forces as Prison Religion to detonate a furious music assembly born from anguish and suffocation in the face of this society. With connections to Rabit's Halcyon Veil, they (dis)assemble this sonic wormhole unto which the anger of hardcore, rap's urgency, debris collected from dance music's darker spectrum and industrial weight are sucked into, not completely alienated from names like clipping., Dreamcrusher or Chino Amobi – Poozy was featured in Paradiso, so the reference stands – but gravitating into their own space. Gaunt and hallucinatory, the music contained in O FUCC IM ON THE WRONG PLANET, BEACHHEAD or the recent Hard Industrial BOP on Lee Gamble's UIQ can either crawl through drone-like desolation or come into action via shredding vokills and shards of harsh noise, in a reflection of the confusion surrounding these days. Through brute force.
