Les Graciés

Les Graciés is a duo made up by French musician Gaël Segalen and the North-American artist Afrikan Sciences, who have, after 4 years of working together, finally released their self-titled debut album on Scottish label Firecracker Recordings. Their exploratory electronic music finds the convergence between unexpected sound sources and segmented forms, being elegantly complex yet grounded in the polyrhythms of their complicity, where time is subordinate to improvisation and the architecture of the groove they seek is in constant mutation. Their performance at OUT.FEST follows a short-termed artistic residency in Barreiro where they will capture sound throughout the city and in particular at the Parque Empresarial da Baia do Tejo, while also drawing freely from the Sons do Arco Ribeirinho Sul sound archive.
