Irmler + Liebezeit

A dream meeting between two towering figures at the forefront of the matchless German musical movement of the 70’s commonly known as Krautrock: Hans-Joachim Irmler (one of the founders of Faust who now leads one of the two groups using that name after their 2004 split, as well as working at Faust Studio and mentoring the prolific Klangbad label) and the truly unique drummer Jaki Liebezeit, well known as the motor propelling Can’s spaceship towards outer space. Together, they explore the symbiosis between Irmler’s cosmic keys and Liebezeit’s circular and hypnotic beats in a search for unexplored worlds, with the same verve and sense of discovery with which they drew up some of their best work.
