An essential band in the history of jazz and improvised music which has been exploring new forms of expression in music for over three decades, the trio features three legends in their respective instruments – Evan Parker on the soprano and tenor saxophone; Barry Guy on double-bass, and Paul Lytton on drums. Their deep familiarity as a working band and their constant search for new possibilities are displayed in each album and each performance. Virtuosic and humane in equal measure, they conducted the perfect performance upon their last visit to Portugal (at Jazz em Agosto in 2001), and the bar is now set very high for their return at OUT.FEST.
