Magik Markers

The stunning ‘Surrender to Fantasy’, released last year on Drag City, and promoted via successful european and north american tours as well as a passage through the mournful edition of the historical All Tomorrow’s Parties, marked the return of Magik Markers to records. After the prolific activity between 2005 and 2009, releasing at least 12 albums, CD-R’s, singles and EP’s, the period following the release of 2009’s ‘Balf Quarry’ seemed to point towards an ambiguous hibernation. But these charismatic and literate sonic vandals, who took their time to improve their songcraft up to a level of balance between clarity and mistery only those blessed with Perspective might achieve, return to our country with a renewed trio formation: vocalist and guitar player Elisa Ambrogio and drummer Pete Nolan are now joined by bass player John Shaw.
